The quiet high frequency vibration stimulates the transducer and generates 42khz of ultrasonic wave. Can be used with plain water, just put the item to be cleaned into the water close the lid then select the desired cleaning cycle. For a more deeper clean with watches etc, it is advised to use a ultrasonic cleaning fluid and repeat the required cleaning cycle if necessary.
